Gotta Start Somewhere

Hello. Well, you found me. No idea how, so if you want to to leave a comment letting me know, I'd find it interesting. Read my ABOUT page for an overview of what I and this site are all about: Mainly, just a collection of thoughts about life from a guy that has lived a lot of it -and what I believe I've learned along the way. Perhaps some content will be thought-provoking, some not so much. Different strokes for different folks, right?

Where to start? At home plate, of course. This is my first post on this site. Its really to just direct you to my ABOUT page so you can decide if the intended content is your cup of tea, as it were: If not, no harm/no foul. If so, I look forward to sharing ideas and seeing where this project goes.

Years ago, I was introduced to the book, 7 Steps for Highly Successful People, by Steven Covey. One of the tenets of the book was the idea "Beginning With The End In Mind". I think this little "teaser post" is my attempt to to do just that. I plan on sharing stories and life moments -some good, some bad, some funny, some sad, many just reflective. If I get terribly deep, poetic, or academic it will be an accident. I am neither a professional writer, therapist, cleric, rabbi, artist, politician or professor -I just tend to think way too much in the middle of the night. (grin)

All that said, I don't plan on giving away all the candy in the store early on: I hope to generate some interest along the way in digestible nibbles rather than an up-front buffet. I learn best that way and expect most folks are already busy enough that this approach will work better for them as well.

So, bottom line, if -after reading this informal "Hi 'ya" and the ABOUT page- you decide to stick around and maybe contribute to the site [purely optional], then you have my profound THANKS,,, but if not, I bid thee peace and well-being; you are always welcome to return at any time. All I ask of all that engage is for respectful dialogue devoid of hateful speech and insensitive or offensive language.

PLEASE NOTE this site is still in construction and not all features are implemented as yet. Be gentle, I am a bit new at site construction; despite the best efforts of Wix, I anticipate making plenty of mistakes. Along with sharing my stories, this is also a learning experience for me. I hope, over time, to produce a more polished site. In the meantime, helpful critique and suggestions are always considered a blessing.
